The Zen of Bonsai Plants
By Barbara

The various bonsai plants
offer variety to those who love to grow and nurture a bonsai
garden. Gardening has many positive aspects for those who
partake in this time honored tradition. Growing bonsai trees
involves a great deal of knowledge and care and the trees
must be tended to almost as much as a pet. That is why many
people who suffer from severe stress find peace in nurturing
these unique trees.
Bonsai gardening can offer
satisfaction beyond measure for those who are willing to
invest their time into the art. As with most anything the
amount of energy one puts into an activity the more one get
out. A sense of fullfilment that may be missing in one's
life can be realized from tending to a bonsai garden, or any
other type of garden for that matter. A Garden can make a
home look great and make a person At Peace as well. By
physically working in one's garden they are taking a
proactive step to a healthier lifestyle. Gardening therefore
can be looked upon as a way to attain both internal (health
and piece of mind) and external (garden, bonsai trees)
health and beauty.
Bonsai plants are not your
typical plants. These are special plants that require
constant care on a daily basis. Just as with a pet, this
hobby of container gardening is totally dependent on their
caregiver. This helps to ensure that not only is the bonsai
garden getting what it needs, but also that a person is
pursing their passionate hobby of gardening that helps to
keep their life in order.
Bonsai plants offer benefits for their care giver that one
may not have thought possible. Not only is this hobby quite
peaceful, it is also a living art form. Unlike a painting,
bonsai art needs constant love and attention to achieve its
full beauty. With one's loving touch a bonsai garden can
prove to be the centerpiece of one's home. Just as the
ancient concept of Yin and Yang go hand in hand, so do the
gardener and the bonsai tree. Each needs the other in order
to be better. The trees thrive and the gardener lives a more
satisfied life. Gardening has never been so Zen.
